Upload a Word (.docx) file and convert it to PDF instantly. Everything runs in your browser — no uploads, no servers.
Most of us write in Word — CVs, assignments, reports — but when it comes to actually sending or submitting something, PDF is what gets asked for. I made my CV in Word and the job portal specifically asked for PDF only. Same thing with college assignments — written in Word, submitted as PDF. The problem is not everyone has Word's export feature handy, or they are on a device where it just does not work properly. This converter handles it directly in your browser — upload your .docx, get a PDF, done. No account, nothing uploaded to any server.
When you send a Word file, you are always hoping the other person has the same version of Word as you. If they don't, fonts shift, spacing breaks, and sometimes the whole layout looks completely different from what you designed. That CV you spent hours formatting can look like a mess on someone else's screen just because their Word version is older.
The other problem — and this one matters a lot for CVs and formal documents — is that a Word file can be edited by anyone who opens it. Someone could change something accidentally, or intentionally. A PDF locks everything in place. What you send is exactly what they see, and nobody can quietly change anything in it.
Looks the same on every device
Whether the recipient opens it on Windows, Mac, phone or tablet — old Word version or new — a PDF looks identical everywhere. No font surprises, no broken layouts, no formatting shifts.
Feels professional and finished
Sending a CV or proposal as a Word file feels like a draft. Sending it as a PDF signals that the document is done, polished and ready. Recruiters and clients notice this difference.
Nobody can edit it accidentally
A Word file is an open invitation to edits — intentional or not. PDF locks your content so what you send is exactly what arrives, unchanged.
Required by most platforms
Job portals, college submission systems, government forms — almost all of them ask for PDF specifically. Having a converter ready means you are never stuck at the last minute before a deadline.
It is pretty straightforward. Upload your .docx file, click Convert to PDF, and your PDF is ready to download. Three steps, done in seconds.
Under the hood the tool uses docx-preview to read your Word document and render it exactly as it appears — text, headings, spacing, paragraph structure. Then jsPDF assembles everything into a properly paginated PDF. The whole thing runs inside your browser so nothing gets sent anywhere during this process.
Once conversion is done a download button appears. You can also see the file size of your new PDF right there so you know exactly how large it is before saving it. Files up to 20 MB are supported — which covers almost every standard Word document.
All your text content — exactly as written
Paragraph structure and spacing
Headings — rendered larger and bold
Basic formatting like bold and italic text
Page breaks based on content length
Tables — text comes through but grid layout breaks
Images and embedded graphics are not included
Multi column layouts get flattened to single column
Custom fonts get replaced with standard font
Bullet indentation levels may not match exactly
For simple documents like CVs, letters, essays and assignments this tool works perfectly. But if your Word file has complex tables, images or multi column layouts and those need to look exactly right — use Microsoft Word's own Save as PDF option instead. That will give you a pixel perfect result every time.
Best for text heavy documents
CVs, assignments, letters, essays, reports — this tool handles these really well. If your document is mostly text with basic formatting you will get a clean PDF every time.
Complex layouts — use Word's own export
If your document has tables that need to look exact, images, or branded formatting — just use Save as PDF directly in Microsoft Word. It produces a pixel perfect result that no browser tool can match.
Keep files under 20 MB
Most Word documents are well under this. Files close to 20 MB usually have lots of embedded images — which will not appear in the output anyway so there is no point uploading a heavy file.
Remove password protection first
Password protected Word files cannot be read by the converter. Remove the password in Word first then upload here.
Only .docx files work here
Older .doc files are not supported. If you have a .doc file open it in Word or LibreOffice and save it as .docx first then convert.
Your CV has your phone number, address, maybe your salary history. Your assignments might have personal statements. When any online tool asks you to upload these files to their server — you genuinely have no way of knowing what happens to that file once it leaves your device. Is it stored? For how long? Who can access it? Most tools do not tell you clearly.
This converter works completely differently. Everything happens inside your own browser — your file never gets sent anywhere. There is no server receiving your document, no database storing it, nothing. We literally cannot see your file even if we wanted to. You upload, convert, download — and that is it.
Close the browser tab and everything is gone. No trace, no copy sitting on someone else's server, no privacy policy to worry about. Your document stays exactly where it belongs — on your device.
Job applications and CVs
Almost every job portal asks for PDF only. A CV made in Word looks different on every recruiter's screen — different fonts, broken spacing, shifted layout. Convert to PDF once and it looks exactly the same wherever it opens. No formatting surprises, no unprofessional first impression.
College and university submissions
Assignment portals, dissertation submissions, scholarship forms — almost all of them require PDF. Writing in Word is fine, but submitting as Word is often not even an option. Convert before the deadline and you are done.
Government forms and portals
Whether it is a tax filing, a license application, or any official document submission — government websites almost always require PDF. They are strict about format and will reject anything else. Having a converter ready means you are never stuck at the last minute.
Business documents
Proposals, invoices, quotations, reports — anything going to a client should be PDF. It looks more professional, cannot be accidentally edited, and opens correctly on any device the client is using. Sending a Word file to a client still looks informal in most industries.
Legal and formal correspondence
Agreements, notices, formal letters — these need to look authoritative and final. A Word document feels like a draft that can be changed. A PDF signals that the document is official, locked, and ready to be acted on.
Archiving finished documents
Once a document is done — final report, completed contract, finished manuscript — save it as PDF before archiving. Five years later it will open exactly the same, regardless of which software is available then.
Use Word's built-in Heading styles
Documents that use the Word Heading styles — rather than manually sized and bolded text — convert most cleanly, as the tool recognises these structural markers and reproduces them in the PDF.
Use Word's own Export to PDF for complex layouts
For documents with critical table content, branded formatting, or precise layouts, Word's built-in Save as PDF produces a pixel-perfect result. This tool is best for text-heavy documents.
Keep files under 20 MB
Most standard Word documents are well under this limit. Files approaching 20 MB typically contain large embedded images, which will not appear in the PDF output anyway.
Remove password protection before converting
Password-protected .docx files cannot be read by the conversion library. Remove the password protection in Word first, then retry the conversion.
Convert .doc files to .docx first
This tool only supports the modern .docx format. For legacy .doc files, open in Word or LibreOffice and save as .docx before uploading.
Works best for everyday documents like CVs, assignments, and letters. For complex layouts with tables, images or branded formatting, Word's own Save as PDF will give you better results. No file is uploaded anywhere — everything runs in your browser.

It is a tool that takes your Word document and turns it into a PDF file. Useful when a portal, college, or employer asks for PDF but you only have a .docx file.
The best one is whichever works without making you create an account or upload your file to someone's server. This tool does both — free, no signup, and nothing gets uploaded anywhere.
For most documents — CVs, letters, essays, assignments — yes, formatting comes through cleanly. For complex layouts with tables and images, Word's own Save as PDF gives better results.
It depends on the tool. Most require you to upload your file to their server, which means a copy of your document sits on someone else's system. This tool is different — everything runs in your browser and your file never leaves your device.
Yes, this tool works on mobile browsers too. Open the page, upload your file, convert and download — same process as on desktop.
Because a Word file looks different on every device depending on the Word version and fonts installed. PDF looks identical everywhere. Also most official portals — jobs, college, government — only accept PDF.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no — it depends on what is inside your Word file. Simple text documents usually come out smaller. Files with lots of embedded images may come out larger.
